EMATRIX Fractional Radiofrequency Sublative Skin Rejuvenation

What is EMATRIX treatment?
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area to improve comfort level. After treatment, a variable degree of redness is to be expected, which usually resolves within a few hours to a few days. The treatment is usually well-tolerated. The total number of treatment sessions required depends on the skin conditions being treated.

What conditions may benefit from the treatment?
EMATRIX is effective for improving the appearance of facial skin, which include fine lines, facial wrinkles, scars, acne scars, skin tone, textural irregularities and superifical skin lesions.

How does EMATRIX work?
Bipolar radiofrequency energy is delivered precisely into the skin in tiny matrix spots. The energy waves can go directly into the dermal layer with minimal disruption of the epidermis, therefore reducing the redness and irritation associated with the treatment. The non-treated skin around the treated spots accelerates the healing process, and downtime is minimal. The energy stimulates collagen production and allows skin rejuvenation to be achieved. The degree of heating and ablation can be adjusted according to each patient’s need.

Is the treatment right for me?
In general, at least 3 treatments are recommended, each being performed 4 to 6 weeks apart. Topical anesthetic cream is applied before the treatment. Patient may feel a warm prickly sensation during treatment, which is usually well-tolerated. After treatment, slight redness, similar to a sunburn, is to be expected, which should resolve within a few days. The downtime is minimal compared to other ablative and non-ablative fractional laser treatment, so most patients can quickly resume their daily activities. The treatment has also been shown to be safe for all skin types.
